1. Dr. T. M. Hynniewta Biodiversity Gold Medal: Instituted by Dr. T. M. Hynniewta, retired Deputy Director, Botanical Survey of India in the year 2009. The award is meant for the lifetime achievements by the senior taxonomists. The first recipient of the award was Dr. Debendra Bijoy Deb in 2010, who has unforgettable contribution for the botany of NE India. Ms. Rebecca Pradhan from RSPN, Bhutan received the award in 2011 and Dr. Amar Singh Chouhan, formerly of Botanical Survey of India received the award in 2012.

2. Arun Pandey Biodiversity Award: Instituted in 2012 by one of the much successful students of Dr. Arun Kumar Pandey, Professor of Botany, University of Delhi. Dr. Ajmal Ali is now working as an Assistant Professor of Botany at the King Saudi University at Saudi Arabia. This award is meant for persons aged less than 40 years old. Members of EHSST working in different aspects of biosystematics will be selected for this award. The first recipient of the award is Dr. Chandra Ghosh, Assistant Professor of Botany, Gour Cillege, Malda, West Bengal.

3. A. P. Das Biodiversity Medal: Instituted in 2012 by one of the much successful students of Dr. A. P. Das, Professor of Botany, North Bengal University. Dr. Chandra Ghosh is now working as an Assistant Professor of Botany at the Gour College, Malda, West Bengal. This award is meant for persons aged less than 40 years old. Members of EHSST working in floristics and related fields will be selected for this award.
